Crying Happens - Managing Emotions in the Office Without Bias or Prejudice
Research gives us many clues as to what roles emotions play in the legal workplace undefined both to our advantage and disadvantage. Crying, anger, joy, anxiety and other emotions all show up at the office. Research on gender and emotions has found that, contrary
to what we expect in the United States, men and women do not differ in how much emotion they experience every day, but they do differ in which emotions they experience and to what extent and how they express those emotions. Women were found to experience more
sadness and other negative emotions than men but comparable levels of anger.
You should know how emotions impact you: how you think, your personal work performance, team performance, employees’ performance, how satisfied you feel about your career and how others view you, whether you are an employee or a leader. Research shows that female
leaders in particular are judged harshly when they express certain emotions. This webinar shows you how to create the emotional environment that is ideal for you and how to handle emotions in the office. You'll also develop effective tools that will help you
achieve leadership success.
