However, status updates, chat sessions, and text messages are some of the items that can be recovered from the users computers and cell phones. It is often not necessary to go to the service provider to find the private contents of social networking sites or
text messages.
This presentation will discuss the types of evidence that can be recovered, what steps are necessary to recover this data, and the types of cases where they can be useful. A demonstration of cell phone data extraction will also be provided.
